Throughout the program, trainees gain hands-on experience across a range of hospitality roles. As part of their placement at the Gladstone Bowls Club, they are learning valuable industry skills including customer service, table service, kitchen operations, barista and coffee service, and bar work. This real-world experience helps build confidence and practical knowledge that prepares them for future employment in the hospitality industry.
Alongside their on-the-job learning, the trainees have also been working closely with our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Yalga-Binbi Insitute to complete their accredited training components. By combining classroom learning with practical placement, they are developing a well-rounded set of skills that will support them in their future careers.
The group is due to finish their training and placement by early July, and we are incredibly proud of the dedication and enthusiasm they have shown so far.
If you’d like to support our trainees and see them in action, you’re warmly invited to visit Mindcare Moments Café at the Gladstone Mindcare Hub. Drop in for a coffee and say hello — our trainees would love to welcome you!
