Our Board

Collective Action Social Impact Ltd’s Board is comprised of a diverse and comprehensive mix of competencies and perspectives.

 

Anton Guinea (Chair)

Anton Guinea has sat on a number of boards, including the Queensland School Based Apprentices Program and the Port Power Basketball Association. Anton has been the Director of The Guinea Group of Companies Pty Ltd since 2005. Anton holds a degree in Business Administration and a degree in Psychological Science, and continues to further his formal education through research study with CQ University. Professionally, Anton helps leaders to upgrade their mindset, upskill their leadership, and uplift their teams. Personally, he is an avid triathlete who swims, rides, or runs most days. Anton is committed to improving the mental health of the Gladstone community through relevant initiatives and programs that empower people to take charge or their personal circumstances and situations.

 

Jo Paringatai (Secretary)

Jo has extensive experience as a mental health specialist manager with extensive sector knowledge and skills across Australia and New Zealand. Her leadership of both clinical and non clinical teams utilising the capacity of both to build effective services based on best practice principles, data analysis, performance review and outcome measurement have seen her hold positions as State Manager Queensland and Northern Territory for headspace, General Manager of the Thompson Mind and Neuroscience Institute and currently as CEO of Roseberry Qld.

 

Michelle Coats

Michelle has significant experience in financial management within the not for profit and local government sector.  She has a strong understanding of implementing robust internal governance and financial standards to ensure growth and financial viability.  Michelle has significant experience overseeing strategic development of social impact investment initiatives. Michelle holds a Masters International & Development Economics, Masters of Commerce and a CPA.  She also serves on several boards operating in the social and human services sector.

 

 

Bob McCosker OAM

Bob is an accomplished businessman with over 35 years extensive experience in the civil contracting industry.  After completing his qualifications as a surveyor Bob spent many years working in all areas of civil construction both in Australia and overseas.  In 1995 Bob founded McCosker Contracting.  Since this time Bob’s intimate knowledge of the construction industry has been the driving force behind the company’s successful growth.  A highly regarded Community Leader, Bob has held numerous voluntary positions including Chairman of EQIP,  member of the Gladstone Foundation Board of Advice, Patron of the Gladstone Men’s Shed Inc, Wildlife Carer with Gladstone and District Wildlife Carer’s Association Inc and President of the Rotary Club of Gladstone in 2010/2011.  As owner of Quoin Island Retreat, Bob has constructed and maintains the Quoin Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre.  Bob joins our Board of Directors with a passion for improving the wellbeing of people in the Gladstone region.

 

Wendy Morris

Wendy has significant experience in project management within the not for profit and social services sector. She has a passion for connection and making sure community resources are well utilised. Wendy is the Executive Officer for the Communities for Children Project in the Gladstone region, responsible for building on local strengths to support and enhance the development and wellbeing of children from birth to 12 years and their families. Prior to this, Wendy was a Project Coordinator with Nhulundu Health Service overseeing the Deadly Choices program. Wendy has a Degree in Professional Communication (Marketing).

She volunteers with several local organisations and is the current Secretary for the Coordinated Community Response to Domestic and Family Violence.

 

Richard Gilmour

Richard is a community investment and property professional with more than 15 years' experience supporting governance, strategy and social infrastructure across Central Queensland. In his senior role with McCosker Contracting, Richard works across property, risk, partnerships and community initiatives. He has contributed to the establishment and growth of key regional assets supporting mental health, men's wellbeing, sporting and environmental conservation. Richard has a long association with Collective Action Social Impact Ltd and Gladstone Mindcare.  His experience includes advisory support in property acquisition, facility development, stakeholder engagement and building sustainable operating foundations for community services. He is passionate about early intervention and strengthening community connection. Richard brings practical governance knowledge, asset management capability and a collaborative, community-first approach to the CASI Board.

 

Aunty Cecelia Eggmolesse

Cecelia is a Byellee Elder, a descendant of our local First Nation Traditional Custodians within the Port Curtis Coral Coast.

Cecelia has meaningful links to the local Indigenous community built through work in Indigenous Health, both Mainstream and Community Controlled Health Services and volunteers and holds Director positions in various local Indigenous and community groups. Cecelia values her family and cultural heritage and is passionate about working together towards a common goal that will benefit the whole of the Gladstone region.

 

Zoey Taylor

Zoey is an Electrician by trade and Electrical Design Draftsperson who brings strong technical expertise and meaningful lived experience to her role as a Board Member. She applies practical problem-solving skills, attention to detail and strategic insight to effect project and governance outcomes. A committed advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion, Zoey works to create environments where people feel respected and supported.  She is a certified Mental Health First Aid provider and trained Peer Support person, actively promoting psychological safety and reducing stigma within organisations.  Her perspective is shaped by the realities of living in a rural community, balancing professional, personal and caregiving responsibilities while navigating chronic health conditions, mental health challenges and the impacts of cancer.  Zoey brings a compassionate, informed and inclusive approach to governance, with a strong commitment to strengthening organisational culture, advancing wellbeing initiatives and championing equity across all levels.
