  • That's a wrap for 2025!

    As 2025 draws to a close, we're proud to reflect on a busy and impactful year supporting the Gladstone Region.

    This year, our team has delivered a wide range of initiatives designed to strengthen mental health, wellbeing, and community connection. Highlights include:

    • Supported over 290 people with access to Mental Health and Wellbeing Supports
    • Early Suicide Prevention workshops for community members and high school students, equipping them to be ready, willing, and able to have crucial conversations with others.
    • Grown to 13 co-locating partners
    • The launch of our new Partnership Packages to strengthen collaboration.
    • Two rounds of Hospitality Traineeships and the delivery of Barista Basics training, helping local people build confidence and employability skills.
    • 22 free community BBQs, providing over 800 meals to individuals experiencing financial hardship or loneliness.
    • More than 100 social connection activities, facilitated by 8 dedicated volunteers who supported 1,550+ conversations and interactions.
    • Hosting our annual Queensland Mental Health Week event in October, welcoming 250+ community members, 21 service stalls, lived-experience guest speakers, opening of a local art exhibition, and the book launch of a local author.
    • Facilitated GRASP (Gladstone Region Awareness and Suicide Prevention Network) with monthly meetings, ED Care Packs being delivered to the Gladstone Hospital to be given to those presenting in a suicidal or mental health crisis & attended several community events to promote awareness.
    • Facilitated LDAT (Local Drug Action Team) which works to develop the capacity of Australian communities to deliver evidence-informed activities that prevent and minimise alcohol and other drug related harm at a local level. The Alcohol and Drug Foundation supports LDAT’s with research, resources and expertise to help the teams respond to local challenges.
